Suggestions and Comments.

Apart from the content itself, do people have suggestions on how this blog could be improved. I am open to design ideas for a while so that this hopefully can become an authority blog, like David Farrar, Just left and I see red.

Here's a suggestion. Stop writing puerile, pinko nonsense. Just Left and Tony Milne's blogs are not "authority blogs". They are cheerleaders for the most liberal, most pinko rainbow faction of the Labour Party. Not once in the last two years has either of them made a comment that might put them slightly offside with their leadership. Their content almost exclusively mirrors the kite-flying antics of Pete Hodgson's message.

The only filthy, liberal pinko who has any credibility is norightturn. He doesn't shy away from telling the Labour Party they're a group of dishonest cocksuckers.

Duly noted. Obviously this blog will portray in part my own opinion, and I am in different situation to Tony and Jordan so it is likely to be different. I mean why would people come here if I was just a mirror.

Still though, its also about getting bites as well.

i agree totally with Mr Prick. The world does not need more lick spittle for the Labour party - if that is what this blog turns into - then it will have a very small readership as this end of the market is already crowded out by Jordan and Tony.

If you are "level headed" as you say you are then criticism of all political where warranted will be appreciated.

For instance I would be interested on your views on the major news items of the present time -

1. Anti-smacking debate
2. Labour election funding proposals - do you think they are one sided, and should such proposals have full support across the house (instead of being so one sided in favour of this tired and corrupt and desperate Labour party.)

Section 59 has been done to death and I have left my comments on that in other blogs. I am sick of the misrepresentation that goes on.
This blog was created partially to get other topics going.

With regard to election funding, it is important obviously that Labour been seen as honest and above board if conducting reforms that could potentially benefit it electorally. However, there is an issue here also that National will simply oppose the proposed electoral reforms as it has no real interest in changing the status quo, even though there is much need to do so, thereby denying the legislation bi-partisan support for its own purposes.
Labour should not be beholden to blackmail of this sort, and perhaps as has been suggested elsewhere, implementing these reforms if it wins a fourth-term in government.

That's a taster.

in the first instance this is a constitutional issue and should have multi-party support. Perhaps if labour had included national in the discussions, and worked to make it a level playing field then the proposal would not be meeting so much objection. I believe the part that seems to be getting the most comment is the exemption for unions (and Business) - but the problem here is that Businesses are normally politically neutral, they do not instruct their staff how to vote, in fact in all my life no employer has ever been politically motivated.

A level playing field is supposed to be exactly that - but Labour's motives for this legislation need to be questioned. They have shown themselves to be desperate and corrupt and no concerned citizen now trusts them to ensure that Labour will not implement legislation that truely makes a level playing field.

Good on ya parrot, keep it up. At a new blog one foray only into comments is needed to find the same slavering fascists dogs are there. Another reminder to never visit coments again.

Well Poly P, welcome to the 'sphere, I hope it works out for you. As you can see, and have no doubt already noticed in your commenting forays, there are some rather strong opinions floating around out there. I find it hard to take IP seriously cos he is just trying so hard to offend.

If you need advice or guidance on how to blog or what about.....

You should not be blogging.

I never said that I needed advice on the future content of this blog, I said that it would be nice for others to give design and aesthetic advice.

Which, I might add, noone has actually given. Still I hold out hope.

IP is bang on. There are many blogs that provide good left wing analysis, NRT and Spans blogs are usually very good (despite what Span might think) If you are different and dom't recycle the Labour nonsense I think you will do ok.

As for layout advice, the new blogger is very user friendly so play about with it and save all settings before you do it.

Notice how all left leaning blogs are supposedly mouthpieces of the Labour Party while all right leaning blogs are robust independent commentary? What rubbish.

From what I have seen so far, the more offensive posts get more feedback, while considered, lengthy, and well researched pieces are largely ignored (perhaps a reflection on the short attention spans of the right-wing blogging majority?)

Bullshit, Chris. I frequently attack individual National MPs for being lazy, or not going in for the kill when they've got the opportunity.

So too do most of the right-wing blogs.

What IP says as usual.

NRT and Span are really the only true leftwing bloggers that have anything useful to say.

Jordan is a kite flyer and Tony whilest he has tried to be a little different this year has fallen into his old ways again.

Pffft, you don't get out much Chris :) I give the Nats shit almost as much as Labour.

Apart from Tony and Jordan, the others seem to be doing an ok job. Bomber gets hits, Maia gets attention. How ever much we don't agree with them they still get their audience.
